Bhatkal: Online booking taxi services have become a popular way of travelling in India like ‘Uber’ and ‘Ola Cabs’ and now this service is available in bhatkal through ‘Oyi Cabs’. 

‘Oyi Cabs’ has launched successfully and services begin from 13th February, Monday. Through this service a person is able to call an Auto Rickshaw at their doorstep using their mobile phones. Firstly the user needs to download the application of   ‘Oyi Cabs’ in their phones through the App Store or Play Store and this registers your mobile number at the ‘Oyi Cabs’office. 

To book a cab one needs to open the app where it procceds to show all the Bhatkal Taluks on a map. Click on your desired location and the app will show the availability of ‘Oyi Cabs’ present near your location. 

The starting point to the desired destination is entered in the phone itself, which automatically gets the information to the driver. Charges for the service will be displayed in your phone. The payment of the journey within 400m can be paid with onw way rent amount. 

Any problems faced by the passenger can be reports to the ‘Oyi Cabs’ officials through the app. The contact numbers of the passengers are not shared with the drivers so there is no need to get worried. Everything is operated through the ‘Oyi Cabs’ office.

Mr. Ubaidullah Askeri, a Bhatkal based businessmen residing in Saudi Arabia, started this new outstanding venture with the cooperation of Bhatkal taluk Auto drivers association. More than 300 cabs from the Bhatkal taluk have already registered to the ‘Oyi Cabs’ service. 

Initially at the beginning, this service will be made available till the Bhatkal limits to around 7km. Observing the response in the future, possibilities may occur to expand it to the higher limits in upcoming days.
