Udupi Forest Officials Rescue Stray Leopard in Brahmavar,

Udupi: A leopard that had entered the Nadi area in search of food was successfully trapped in a cage placed by the forest department near Nagaradi bus stand, which falls under the jurisdiction of Hanehalli Gram Panchayat, Brahmavar.

Concerned locals, who had been apprehensive about the presence of leopards in the Nagaradi vicinity over the past few days, promptly notified the forest department. Acting on the information, the authorities placed a cage with a dog to capture the leopard three days ago.

Forest department officials and staff, aided by the cooperation of the locals, promptly arrived at the scene and successfully rescued the leopard.

The successful operation saw the participation of Udupi Zonal Forest Officer Warijakshi, Assistant Zonal Forest Officers Harish K., Gururaj, Suresh Ganiga, as well as Patrol Forest Guards Suresh, Manjunath Naik, Abhilash, Jitesh, Ashwin, and others.
