Karwar: A speedy car, plying from Goa to Kerala, unfortunately hits a bicycle, claiming the cycle riders life on the spot. The incident took place on 11th febraury, saturday, on NH66 near Majalli in Karwar.

The deceased cycle rider has been identified as Anant Kashinath Kumtekar (65), a resident of Ghotnebag near Karwar.

As per the official sources, while incident reported, the bicycle was moving towards Majalli from Ghotnebag and the car was heading to Kerala from Goa, which collided with bicycle. The accused in the car after hitting, tried to run off the spot, which made unsuccessful. 

Later, Karwar traffic police were successful in catching them and has been filed a case in Chittakul police station limits.
