Mangaluru (DHNS): Measures have been taken to improve pass percentage in SSLC examinations in Dakshina Kannada district, DDPI Dayanand R Nayak said on Monday.
The district registered a pass percentage of 78.20% in 2021-22.
The DDPI said teachers completed their syllabus by December and had been revising the lessons since January.
SSLC nodal officer Venkatesh Nayak said an action plan was prepared at taluk, district and school-levels to improve the results.
‘’Two preparatory exams have been conducted —one at the taluk level and another at the state-level. Further, students have been made to revise the old question papers. The question papers from various districts were also shared on WhatsApp to help students prepare in a better manner,’’ he said.
Special classes were also conducted either in the morning or evening for the benefit of the students. Question banks have been prepared and given to the schools, he added.
‘‘The subject forums and teachers in schools also have prepared passing packages for students to pass. Parents’ meetings were conducted at schools to instill confidence in children. Resource persons were also invited to help students how to write an exam,’’ the DDPI said added.
