Bhatkal: Honoring retiring teacher Sadashiva Desh Bhandari in Hadavalli

Bhatkal: A grand farewell and felicitation ceremony was organized for retiring teacher Sadashiva Desh Bhandari, recognizing his years of dedicated service in the teaching profession. The event was arranged by the SDMC, Alumni Association, and the residents of Aravakki, where Sri Sridhar Shetty, President of Gram Panchayat Hadavalli, inaugurated the program by watering a plant.

Speaking on the occasion, he emphasized that teachers are akin to deities, as they play a crucial role in shaping young minds and building a strong future. Suresh N. Murudeshwar, CRP Kuntavani Cluster, also addressed the gathering, highlighting the significance of the teaching profession and the pride associated with honoring educators.

The event was presided over by Sri Bhaskar Naik, President of SDMC, and attended by Smt. Kamala Ishwar Marathi, Smt. Sunanda Jambur Math (Gram Panchayat members), alumni, students, and village residents. The retiring teacher, Sadashiva Desh Bhandari, was honored for his service to the school and the community.

The program included prayers by Sandhana and Usha, a rendition of the state anthem by Drithi and Drivi, and a welcome speech by Sri Ajit Kumar. Sri Veerendra Kumar Jain delivered the vote of thanks, and the event was compered by Sri Nagesh Shetty. The ceremony concluded with a tree plantation, symbolizing growth and legacy.
