
Bhatkal – To experience the vibrant atmosphere and exemplary communal harmony of Bhatkal’s Ramzan Bazaar, Uttara Kannada Superintendent of Police (SP) M. Narayan paid a special visit to the town late Friday night from Karwar. He inspected the market stalls, observed the bustling shopping activity, and took note of the lively ambiance.
Accompanied by Bhatkal DySP Mahesh MK and other senior police officials, the SP expressed his delight at the unique atmosphere of the market, stating, “The Ramzan Bazaar is not only a shining example of Hindu-Muslim unity and social harmony but also reflects the spirit of a grand festival.” He praised the peaceful and pleasant environment of the Ramzan Bazaar, calling it a symbol of communal harmony.
SP Narayan also reviewed the security arrangements, including continuous surveillance through CCTV cameras. He appreciated the efforts of the police department, municipal authorities, and social organizations in ensuring a smooth and peaceful atmosphere.
The SP was welcomed by Majlis-e-Islah-o-Tanzeem President Inayatullah Shabandari, Rabita Society General Secretary Ateequr Rahman Muniri, and Bhatkal Town Municipal Council (TMC) in-charge President Altaf Kharuri.
During the SP's visit, the bazaar was bustling with a large crowd of shoppers, actively purchasing their essentials, further highlighting the festive and inclusive spirit of the marketplace.
