
Bengaluru: Justice Taj Ali Maulasab Nadaf was sworn in as an Additional Judge of the Karnataka High Court on Monday. Chief Justice of the Karnataka High Court, Justice N.V. Anjaria, administered the oath of office. Justice Nadaf took the oath in the name of God and expressed gratitude to all those who had supported him throughout his professional journey.
H.L. Vishal Raghu, Chairman of the Karnataka Bar Council, welcomed Justice Nadaf to his new role. Speaking on the occasion, he shared details about Justice Nadaf’s background and legal career.
Justice Taj Ali Maulasab Nadaf was born in 1976 in Shiggaon, Haveri district. He completed his primary education in Karwar before earning a law degree from Vivekananda Law College in Bengaluru. He was enrolled as an advocate with the Karnataka State Bar Council on August 11, 2000, and began his legal career under the guidance of senior advocates K. Apparao and Ashok R. Kalyan Shetty.
He later practiced under Advocate P.K. Ponnanna in trial courts and eventually established his independent legal practice. Over the years, he gained extensive experience in civil, criminal, and other legal matters, successfully handling cases in various courts, including the Karnataka High Court. Justice Nadaf also served in Dharwad district, where he was recognized for his outstanding legal work.
Justice Nadaf was appointed as Amicus Curiae in several civil and criminal cases and effectively discharged his responsibilities. In 2020, he was appointed as a legal advisor for petitioners in the Legal Cell of the Karnataka High Court and District Judiciary.
Acknowledging his judicial integrity, vast legal knowledge, and expertise in legal procedures, members of the legal community wished him success in his tenure as an Additional Judge for the next two years.
The swearing-in ceremony was attended by judges of the Karnataka High Court, senior advocates, judicial officers, and other dignitaries.
