Dubai: The opening ceremony of NGT-BPL will begin from Friday in the Oval International Ground in a grand manner. The members of Bhatkal community who reside in UAE including a huge number of youths in Dubai are participating in this tournament.

According to Ateequr Rahman Muneeri, chairman of BPL, opening ceremony will begin at 3pm on Friday and community leader Jb S M Syed Khaleelur Rahman will be present as the chief guest. The president of Kanara Muslim khaleej council Mohammed Bapu Basha Ruknuddin, BMJD president Mohammed Ashfaque Sada and General Secretary Muhammed Yusuf Barmawer will be present as a guest of honor.

There are 8 teams in the tournament which are distributed into two groups. Group-I consists of DVS SMASHERS, KASHIMJI WARRIORS, MARHABA CHAMPS and 4 PARTNERS CHARGERS. The group- II contains MAKE HOME CHALLENGERS, ABU DHABI RIDERS, RUKNUDDIN BROTHERS TITANS and UNIQUE STRIKERS.

The first match will be played between DVS SMASHERS and KASHIMJI WARIORS at 4:45 pm and the next match will be played between MAKE HOME CHALLENGERS vs ABU DHABI RAIDERS at 7:30pm in the Oval international ground.

Briefing details about the tournament, BPL Commissioner Waseem KM said, “The matches will be played only on Fridays. On the 1st and 2nd Friday, two matches will be played. On the next 3rd and 4th Friday four matches will be played and the next 5th Friday two semi-finals and one final match will be played”.
