According to IMD, a Yellow Alert has been issued for Uttara Kannada district on October 26, warning of heavy rain at isolated places. On October 28, parts of the coastal belt may experience thunderstorms accompanied by strong winds ranging between 30–40 km/h, along with heavy rainfall. Meanwhile, northern interior districts — including Bagalkot, Belagavi, Bidar, Dharwad, Gadag, Haveri, Kalaburagi, Koppal, Raichur, Vijayapura, and Yadgir — are expected to receive light to moderate rain.
In the southern interior regions — including Bengaluru Urban and Rural, Ballari, Chitradurga, Hassan, Mysuru, Kodagu, Mandya, Kolar and surrounding areas — intermittent rain with gusty winds is likely in isolated pockets.
Bengaluru Weather Outlook

Cyclone Development in Bay of Bengal — System Strengthens Further
The deep depression located over the southeast Bay of Bengal has intensified further. According to IMD: The system may escalate into a cyclonic storm within the next 24 hours. It is expected to strengthen further into a Severe Cyclonic Storm by October 28.
The cyclone is likely to make landfall near the Andhra Pradesh coast, close to Kakinada, between the afternoon and evening of 28 October. Wind speeds may reach 90–100 km/h, with gusts up to 110 km/h during landfall.
Fishermen along the coastal belt have been strictly warned not to venture into the sea during this period.
Another Weather System Active Over the Arabian Sea
Meanwhile, another depression over the east-central Arabian Sea is moving westward. Although it remains far from the Karnataka coast, its moisture influence may contribute to humid conditions and rough sea waves along the shore.
