Teachers Eligiblity Test held in Uttara Kannada

Karwar:  Teachers Eligiblity Test (TET) was held  in all examination centres across Uttara Kannada district on Sunday.

Paper-1 was held in six centres in Karwar. Of the 1,295 candidates who had applied, 1,200 appeared for the exam.

Paper-2 was held in eight centres.

Of the 1,625 candidates, 145 remained absent.

Deputy Commissioner S S Nakul monitored the exam centres.

"Security had been beefed up around the exam centres.

In every exam centre, health assistants were ready with first aid kit for the needy. The entire exam process including carrying of the question papers from the treasury and keeping the answer sheets back, have been videographed", informed DDPI Ramakrishna Nayak.
