Bhatkal: The Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) court in Bhatkal has fined a youth ₹28,000 for multiple traffic violations, including riding a bike without a driving license, pollution certificate, insurance, vehicle registration documents, not wearing a helmet, and driving under the influence of alcohol. The verdict was issued on Wednesday.
The incident occurred on November 30 last year near The New English School in Bhatkal. During a routine vehicle inspection drive, Bhatkal Town Police Sub-Inspector Naveen Naik apprehended the accused and later submitted a detailed report to the Principal and Additional Civil JMFC Court.
Following the trial, Judge Deepa Aralagundi delivered the judgment and imposed the fine. Government prosecutor Vivek Naik represented the case on behalf of the state.
