New Delhi (PTI): Opposition MPs in the Rajya Sabha on Monday accused the government of attacking India's federal structure and undermining constitutional institutions, claiming the country is facing a "pseudo-Emergency."
BJD MP Debashish Samantaray alleged that constitutional watchdogs have been reduced to "pet dogs," while TMC MP Saket Gokhale accused the government of injustice and communal bias. DMK MP Tiruchi Siva expressed concerns over declining federalism and alleged Hindi imposition.
The MPs criticized the ruling NDA government for misusing central agencies, denying funds to states, and suppressing opposition voices, asserting that these actions threaten the Constitution and democracy.
